SMS is now a channel for every workspace, from a number you own. In Channels › Connected, press SMS. The Text from your own number window offers MirageTEL (Recommended: sign in or create a free account, pick a number, press Allow), I already use Twilio (Account SID and Auth Token from Console › Account Info, then Load my numbers), or Developer? Use a MirageTEL API key instead. The texts are billed by MirageTEL or Twilio; nothing is added to your MirageCHAT bill.
Texts arrive in the Inbox. Under the reply box an SMS conversation shows the parts count, for example «57 / 70 · 1 part · Plain text». An SMS carries text only, up to 1,600 characters. Someone who replies STOP gets no more texts until they text START. The AI and auto-replies can answer texts as on other channels; Automation rules do not list SMS.
A Twilio number inside a Messaging Service connects once you tick Point the Messaging Service “…” to MirageCHAT; a service shared with other numbers or senders is never changed. A MirageTEL number’s card has Top up at MirageTEL ↗ and Disconnect. Each number takes one place in your package. In the phone app, SMS conversations show the same parts line, and connecting a number opens Channels on the web.
