“Comment PRICE and we’ll send it to you” turns a post into conversations. When someone comments, MirageCHAT can reply under the comment and send that person one private message (DM) — on Instagram and on your Facebook Page.
- Open Automation and press New automation.
- Under When? choose Someone comments on a post.
- In the box under it, type the words that start it, separated by commas: “price, info, link”. Leave it empty to answer every comment.
- Under On which posts? keep Any post, or choose Only these posts and tap the posts in the grid.
- The suggestion adds two steps. In Reply under the comment, write up to five replies, one per line; one is picked at random for each comment, so your replies don’t all look the same.
- In Send a DM, write the private message, up to 1,000 characters — the price list, the link, the booking page. {customer_name} becomes their name on Instagram or Facebook.
- Under Where should it run? keep All accounts or choose your Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages, and press Save automation.
Good to know
- Meta allows one DM per comment, within 7 days of it. MirageCHAT sends it at once, and once per person on each post.
- The DM opens a conversation in your Inbox. When they answer, the AI, your team and your other automations carry on.
- Words match whole words; capital letters and accents don’t matter.
- Each comment gets one automation: one for chosen posts wins over one with words, which wins over one for every comment.
- People who asked not to be messaged get no DM. Your own comments never start it.
- + Like likes the comment on Facebook Pages and TikTok — Instagram doesn’t let apps like comments. + Hide works on all three.
- + Tag labels the conversation the DM opens, so it needs Send a DM.
- A Facebook Page connected before 1 October 2026 needs ⋯ › Refresh permissions once, on its card in Channels › Connected, so its connection carries Meta’s access to Page comments.
