The same automation that answers Instagram comments works on TikTok: it can reply under a comment, like it, or hide it.
- In Channels › Connected, on your TikTok account’s card, press Turn on next to Comments and allow it on TikTok’s screen. Only TikTok accounts with comments turned on can be chosen.
- Open Automation, press New automation, and under When? choose Someone comments on a post.
- Type the words that start it (“timetable, price”), or leave the box empty for every comment.
- Under On which posts? keep Any post, or choose Only these posts and tap your videos.
- Add the steps: + Reply under the comment (up to five lines, one picked at random), and + Like or + Hide if you want them.
- Under Where should it run? keep All accounts or choose Only some and tick your TikTok accounts. Press Save automation.
Example for Northside Gym: “Comment TIMETABLE for class times” → reply “Sent! This week’s classes are on the link in our bio 💪”.
Good to know
- TikTok doesn’t let a business send a DM from a comment yet. Send a DM is skipped on TikTok, and so is a tag, because there is no conversation to put it on. The other steps still run.
- An automation with a reply runs once per person on each video. One that only likes or hides runs on every matching comment.
- Words match whole words; capital letters and accents don’t matter.
- On the canvas, TikTok comment in the TikTok group adds the same reply step.
