On the Pro package your own systems — a shop backend, a booking tool — can publish to your Instagram accounts, Facebook Pages and TikTok through the Publishing API. The owner or an admin creates the key.
- Open Security › Developer. You’ll see the Publishing API card and, further down, API Keys.
- Press New key and name it, for example “Online shop backend”.
- Under What the key may do, choose Publishing API — publish and read, or the read only option for a key that only reads statuses and numbers.
- Under Allowed IP addresses, list your server’s address. Empty allows any address; listing yours is safer.
- Under Accounts this key may post to, pick Only the accounts I pick and tick them, or Every publishing account, including ones connected later.
- Choose the TikTok default route: Approve in MirageCHAT or Send to TikTok Drafts.
- Tick the confirmation that posts sent with this key are published in your name, and press Create.
- Copy the key right away — it is shown only once.
Your first call
From your server, call GET /capabilities on the base miragechat.io/api/ext/v1, with the header “Authorization: Bearer” followed by your key, and a User-Agent of your own. The answer lists each account the key can use, its formats and what is left today. Then upload with POST /media, publish with POST /posts (send an Idempotency-Key), and read the result with GET /posts/{id}.
Good to know
- Instagram and Facebook posts publish on their own. TikTok posts wait for the owner in Social Autopilot › Instant Post under Waiting for you, or go to TikTok Drafts — or post directly from a key with TikTok direct ticked.
- Skip polling: under Outbound Webhooks, press Subscribe to events and pick post.published and post.failed.
- 60 requests a minute per key; each platform’s own daily limits apply. An Instagram post can stay queued for a while: each account gets at most 6 posts an hour, and one Instagram refused as possible spam waits 24 hours.
- Rotating a key gives a new one and keeps the old working for 24 hours; Revoke stops a key at once.
