TikTok asks you to make some choices yourself for every video posted from another app. Instant Post shows them in a TikTok box under Where as soon as a TikTok account is ticked.
- Tick your TikTok account under Where. The box names the TikTok account the video goes to (“posting as @…”).
- Open Who can see this on TikTok and pick one. Nothing is chosen for you, and Post now stays off until you choose. You only see the options TikTok offers for that account: Everyone, Friends, Followers or Only me.
- Press More TikTok options to allow comments, Duet or Stitch. All three start unticked; one that is turned off in the TikTok account itself stays grey.
- If the video promotes something, switch on Disclose commercial content and tick Your brand (labelled “Promotional content” on TikTok), Branded content (labelled “Paid partnership”), or both. Branded content can’t be set to Only me.
- Read the line above the button — by posting you agree to TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation — and press Post now.
What TikTok takes
- Videos. With the Reel card on, TikTok gets the Reel’s video.
- With the Reel off, your Post’s photos as a TikTok Photo post (up to 35) or as One video — you choose under the Post card.
- No stories and no text-only posts.
Good to know
- You choose again for every video. That is TikTok’s rule, not a setting we keep.
- If the box says TikTok publishes every video from MirageCHAT as «Only me» for now, that is TikTok’s rule for our app at that moment — nothing is wrong with your video.
- A TikTok sound or a TikTok location goes out through TikTok Business and posts to Everyone only. If TikTok won’t take the sound for an account, the video goes out once more without it, and the post says so: “Posted without the TikTok sound: TikTok did not take it for this account (…)”.
- TikTok allows about 15 posts a day per account, shared with every app it uses; if TikTok says an account can’t post more right now, the box says so.
- TikTok may take a few minutes to process a video before it shows on the profile.
