Every conversation has a full reply box: text, attachments and voice messages.
- Open a conversation from the Inbox.
- Type in Type a reply… and tap the send arrow.
- To attach something, tap + at the left of the reply box and choose Photo or video, Camera, File, Location or Contact. A photo, video, file or contact is sent as soon as you pick it. A location asks first: Send location › Send.
- For a voice message, leave the reply box empty and tap the microphone. While Recording… shows, tap the send button to send it, or Cancel to throw it away.
- The first time, allow access to your photos, camera, location, contacts or microphone when the phone asks.
If a WhatsApp client last wrote more than 24 hours ago, the app shows The free reply window has closed. Tap Send template, choose an approved template, fill in its fields and tap Send template.
Good to know
- Photos and videos go without a caption. Send the text as its own message.
- A contact is sent with the first phone number saved for it.
- WhatsApp templates are created on the website, under Channels › Message Templates.
- A reply marked Sent from phone was typed in the WhatsApp Business app on the business’s phone, not in MirageCHAT.
- If a send fails, the app shows Not sent and your text stays in the reply box.
