The app keeps your latest chats on the phone, and holds text replies until the connection comes back.
- When the connection drops, a thin line says Offline — replies will send when the connection returns.
- Type and send as usual. The conversation shows how many replies are waiting, for example “1 reply is waiting for a connection — they’ll send automatically.”
- When the phone is online again, or you reopen the app, the waiting replies go out in order.
- The phone keeps the Inbox list and the latest messages of your newest conversations. While you’re online it refreshes them every few minutes, and reading them this way doesn’t mark them read.
- A conversation not kept on the phone yet shows Not on this phone yet.
- Locked conversations are never kept on the phone.
Good to know
- Only text replies wait. Photos, videos, files, voice messages, locations and contacts need a connection; otherwise they show Not sent.
- Signing out removes everything kept, including replies still waiting. If you are offline, the app asks first: You're offline, with Stay signed in or Sign out.
- A reply the platform refuses is not retried forever.
