Some comments shouldn’t stay in view, and some need no answer. Comments handles both. Hide and Delete need the moderation permission.
- Open the post in Comments.
- Hide: under the comment, press ••• › Hide. The comment stays visible to its author and to nobody else. Unhide reverses it.
- Delete: ••• › Delete…, then confirm Delete. It is removed for everyone, with no undo — hiding is usually safer.
- What needs no answer. Emoji-only reactions and friends tagging friends are never counted. The line at the top of the post names them and offers Thank everyone ❤️ (posts a ❤️ reply under each after you confirm Post N) and, on TikTok, Like each and clear. A single comment you won’t answer: ✓.
- Comments on / off in an Instagram post’s header closes or reopens that post’s comments in Instagram itself. The comments already there stay.
Good to know
- TikTok deletes only your own comments; everyone else’s can be hidden.
- Facebook doesn’t allow hiding a Page’s own comments.
- A ❤️ reply is public and can’t be taken back from MirageCHAT.
- An automation can hide comments containing words you choose — see «Hide spam comments automatically».
