Give new customers something to tap on Instagram and Messenger: ready-made questions before the first message, a menu under the chat, and — on a Facebook Page — a Get Started button.
- Open Channels › Connected, press ••• on an Instagram or Facebook Page card, and choose Welcome & menu.
- Ready-made questions (up to 4): type a question a customer can tap — “Is a car free this weekend?” — and choose AI / team answers, or Automatic answer… with your reply.
- Menu (up to 5 items, always under the chat). Each item either Opens a link, Sends a message (with an optional automatic answer), or opens a Submenu of up to 5 more. Titles are up to 30 characters.
- On a Facebook Page only: Show the Start button puts Get Started under your Page name, with an automatic first reply after it is tapped (leave it empty to let the AI or your team answer); and Chat commands (up to 10) appear when someone types / — /prices, /directions.
- Languages: add a version for another phone language with + language. Empty versions fall back to Default.
- Press Save.
Good to know
- Meta shows each customer the version that matches their phone’s language.
- On a Page, the Start button stays on while you have a menu — Facebook requires it.
- Menu links on a Page open inside Messenger for the sites listed under Allowed websites.
- A gym might add “Opening hours” (Sends a message) and “Book a trial” (Opens a link).
