In short

A client workspace is a separate MirageCHAT workspace for one business you serve: its own channels, conversations, customers, posts and team. You create it under Reseller. It costs nothing until its first channel connects, then $1.25 a month for each connected channel.

Before you start

  • A reseller account, and you are its owner or an admin — become a partner.
  • Your client’s business name and its time zone.
  • Your own id for this client, if your systems have one. It is optional.

1. Create a client workspace

  1. Open Reseller

Go to Reseller. The Client workspaces tab opens. Press New client workspace.

  2. Name it

In Name, type your client’s business as they will recognise it — for example “Seaside Villa”.

  3. Check the time zone

Time zone starts with your browser’s, for example Europe/London. Pick your client’s from the list, or type it: the workspace shows its times in that clock.

  4. Add your reference (optional)

In Your reference (optional), type your own id for this client, for example client-42. The API finds the workspace by it too, and two of your client workspaces can’t share one.

  5. Create it

Press Create workspace. The window becomes Seaside Villa is ready, with the link your client connects its channels with — send a connect link.

A client workspace costs nothing until its first channel is connected. Then each connected channel is $1.25 a month, taken from your balance on the day it connects.

2. Read the list

Four tiles at the top sum up your account — your balance and statement. Under them, a row Your own workspace (marked Yours) with your own channels, then every client workspace, the newest first:

ColumnWhat it shows
Client workspaceIts name, your reference if you gave one, and its Workspace ID — the number the API uses.
ChannelsThe mark of each connected channel; point at one for its name. None yet until the first connects.
StatusActive — at least one channel is connected. No channels yet. Closed.
Chats (30 d)Conversations with activity in the last 30 days.
Per monthWhat it costs now: $1.25 for each connected channel. $0.00 with no channels, or once closed.
ButtonWhat it does
LinkOpens the connect link window for this client — send a connect link. Grey on a closed workspace, or when your reseller plan has ended.
UsersThe people of your client who may sign in, and adding one — your client’s people.
OpenShows you the workspace as its owner for two hours, to check and help. Back to Reseller brings you home.
RenameChanges the workspace’s name and your reference. Grey on a closed workspace.
CloseCloses the workspace — below. A closed workspace has no Close button.

3. Close a client workspace

  1. Press Close

On the client’s row, press Close. A red line under the row asks first.

  2. Read it and confirm

“Close Seaside Villa? It becomes read-only at once and its channels are switched off, so they stop costing money. Everything in it is kept for 90 days, and it cannot be reopened from here.” Press Close workspace, or Keep it.

  3. Check

A line says how many channels were switched off. The row now says Closed, and Per month is $0.00.

  • Read-only at once. Nothing is sent from it. The workspace says “This workspace is closed. Messages that arrive are still kept, and everything in it can still be read.”
  • Its channels are switched off, so none of them renews.
  • Its connect links stop working, and nobody new can be added to it.
  • Its data is kept for 90 days. You can still Open it and read everything.

Good to know

  • Every client workspace is separate. Its conversations, customers, posts and keys never reach another client.
  • No package and no trial. A client workspace has every feature except the AI assistant, with no limits — your balance pays for its channels.
  • Every email about a client workspace comes to you, to the addresses in Billing › Details — or, with none there, to your account owner — its subject starting with the workspace’s name — for example “[Seaside Villa] …”. Your client’s people get none, except the sign-in code when signing in asks for one.
  • Each change is recorded in your Security › Activity log: a client workspace created, changed or closed.

If something looks wrong

“Please give the client workspace a name.”

The Name field is empty. Type the business name and press Create workspace again.

“Unknown time zone «…».”

Use a zone name: the region, a slash, then a city — Europe/London, America/New_York, Asia/Dubai.

“A client workspace with the reference «…» already exists.”

Each reference names one client workspace. Use another, or leave the field empty.

New client workspace is grey: “Your account is paused until the monthly renewal is paid — add money to do this.”

No new client workspace can be made while your account is paused. Add money under Billing and everything reopens at once — when a renewal isn’t paid.

“This workspace is not a reseller.”

The Reseller menu is for reseller accounts — become a partner.

“Only an owner or an admin of the reseller workspace can do this.”

Managers and agents can’t use the Reseller menu. Ask your owner, or an admin.

On your phone

Client workspaces are created and closed on the web, under Reseller. On a phone’s browser the list becomes cards and each window a sheet from the bottom.

Ready?

Opens MirageCHAT in this tab. Sign in first if you’re not already.
