In short
Customers can call your business on WhatsApp, and your team answers in MirageCHAT — in the browser, with a computer’s microphone and speakers. You turn calls on for each WhatsApp number in Channels. Calls from customers are free; WhatsApp calls are part of the Growth and Pro packages.
- Growth or Pro — WhatsApp calls are part of these packages.
- A WhatsApp number connected to MirageCHAT only — not also used in the WhatsApp Business app on a phone.
- A daily limit of 2,000 customers on the number — WhatsApp turns calls on from that limit.
- A payment method on the WhatsApp account at Meta, for the calls you make.
Steps
Open the number’s calls
In
Channels, find your WhatsApp number and press Calls.Check what WhatsApp needs
Under What WhatsApp needs, each line shows whether it is met: Connected to MirageCHAT only, the 2,000 limit and the payment method — with what to do when one isn’t.
Turn calls on
Switch on Customers can call this number.
Choose the rest
The call button, your calling hours, Ask to call back and who hears the ring — see below.
Save
Press Save. Changes can take up to 7 days to reach every customer’s WhatsApp.
The settings
| Setting | What it does |

| Call button in WhatsApp | Shown: the call button appears in the customer’s WhatsApp chat with you. Hidden: customers can still call you from a call button you send them. |
| Calling hours | Any time, or Set hours for each day, with days off. Outside these hours WhatsApp offers a message, or a callback when Ask to call back is on. |
| Ask to call back | After a call, or outside your hours, the customer can let you call them for 7 days. |
| Who hears the ring | Everyone who can open this chat — the first to answer takes the call. Or The assigned agent first: everyone else after 15 seconds; a chat with nobody assigned rings for everyone. |
What it costs
- Calls from customers: free.
- Calls you make: billed by WhatsApp per minute to this WhatsApp account’s payment method at Meta — never on your MirageCHAT invoice.
- Your package: WhatsApp calls are included in Growth and Pro. On Starter the Calls page shows the packages that have them.
Calls are WhatsApp’s setting on your number: MirageCHAT sends your choices to Meta when you save, and reads them back.
