In short

Most problems with calls are the browser’s microphone or one of WhatsApp’s conditions for the number. Find the message you see below.

Calls and the microphone

Calls don’t ring in my browser

Check that Available for calls is on in this browser, that MirageCHAT is open in a tab, and that calls are on for the number (Channels › the number › Calls). Outside your calling hours WhatsApp doesn’t put the call through.

“Allow the microphone for MirageCHAT in your browser, then answer again.”

Your browser refused the microphone. Click the icon beside the address, allow the microphone for miragechat.io, and answer the next call. Meanwhile the call keeps ringing for your teammates.

“No sound from your microphone”

Your microphone sends nothing. Check that it isn’t muted on your computer — on Windows in Settings › System › Sound, on a Mac in System Settings › Sound — or choose another one under Microphone in the call bar.

“Someone else answered this call.”

A teammate pressed Answer first. The call is theirs, and the card closes by itself.

Turning calls on

“WhatsApp calls work only on numbers connected to MirageCHAT alone.”

The number is also used in the WhatsApp Business app on a phone. WhatsApp turns calls on only for numbers that are connected to MirageCHAT alone.

“WhatsApp turns on calls only for numbers with a daily limit of 2,000 customers.”

The limit belongs to your business at Meta and rises as you send messages and verify your business — Your number’s name and limits.

“Add a payment method to this WhatsApp account at Meta first.”

Add a payment method at Meta, then turn calls on again.

“WhatsApp calls are part of the Growth and Pro packages.”

Your workspace is on Free or Starter. Change the package in Billing — Your package.

Calling a customer

“This customer has not allowed calls yet. Ask them first.”

Press Ask … to allow calls in the call window, or send them a call button — Call a customer on WhatsApp.

“WhatsApp doesn’t let businesses with US or Canadian numbers call customers.”

WhatsApp’s rule for the number’s country. Customers can still call you; send them a call button.

“WhatsApp hid your call button … too many calls went unanswered.”

WhatsApp hides the button for a while when many calls go unanswered. It comes back by itself on the date shown; meanwhile answer every call you can, or set calling hours.
